Hi, I am Nafisa Akbar.
I began my journey with photography when I was expecting my first child. Foolishly, my husband and I had purchased a DSLR camera thinking we would automatically get the most beautiful photos of our daughter after she arrived. However, we soon realized how terrible we were at taking photos and decided to learn how to actually use our new camera. In the process of "figuring things out," I soon started to find myself falling deeply in love with photography.
From the technical aspects of what one must do behind the camera, to the ways in which a personal moment is framed and captured on film, I love everything about photography. The best part of all? Capturing tiny pieces of my clients' stories within a frame, so that they may continue to cherish those moments for a lifetime.

I look forward to creating art and capturing your memories with you. My services include a consultation, whether that be on the phone, in person, or even via FaceTime or Skype! Feel free to send me example photos or other materials that show me what kind of aesthetics you like and the types of photographs you want me to take.
However, I will not recreate another photographer's work. There are two important reasons for this. The first is that this is plagiarism, and I just won't do that to a fellow photographer. The second is that I created this business to capture moments in time that are unique and special to my clients, and that cannot be replicated from some other person's life. So while I welcome any and all ideas, please keep in mind that I will not replicate photos, but will take into consideration the photos' color schemes, aesthetics, themes, tones, etc.
