When the weather gods pull through...
...you know you're in for a special day. We were still in the thick of a yucky, cold streak of winter in Columbus, but for the weekend during which Shanila and Saajid got married, the sun was out and the weather was mild... dare I say, even warm! It was a beautiful day at the Club at Corazon in Dublin and it felt like the clouds parted ways just for Shanila and Saajid.
The two met while growing up in the area, and guests included the very aunts and uncles who watched both bride and groom grow up before their very eyes. It was an intimate gathering, with Shanila and Saajid surrounded by close friends and family who began celebrating their union with late nights of wedding decorating, a traditional gaye holud ceremony at home, and the gathering of heirlooms to pass onto the next generation. Shanila's mother spent years carefully collecting jewelry sets she wanted to gift her daughter. Relatives flew in from New York and London. And the groom saw his bride for the first time on their wedding day on the terrace by the water... while the sun was just about to set.
